Lake District Travel Vlog | 3 Days in the Lakes

I have another travel vlog for you today documenting my 3 days in The Lake district back in November 2018. Today I bring you my Lake District Travel Vlog!

I documented my 3 day trip to the Lakes in the form of a travel diary in January. So, I thought I would make another travel vlog to further show what I got up to. There’s something about videos that I love, especially capturing memories and unforgettable moments. Photographs only capture so much (which I also love taking), but videos really bring memories alive.

The Lake District

Without repeating what was written in my previous post. The Lake District is a vast area in the north of England. Classed as the Cumbria area and the largest national park in England and Wales. A weekend away to the Lakes is a must. Obviously, it is a massive area which will be rather difficult to explore within one weekend, but you can have a good try!

The Lake District Travel Vlog:

During our three day trip we visited several places within the Lakes. This included our base for the weekend, Grange-over-Sands and the lovely town of Bowness-on-Windermere. The views of Lake Windermere are breathtaking, and hopefully my video captures this. We were lucky enough to witness the remembrance day parade through Bowness-on-Windermere too!

On our final day, we visited South Lakes Safari Zoo, which was a bit of a washout. We didn’t get to see everything in the zoo because of the heavy rain, soaking us through to the skin. Due to this and not wanting to destroy my camera, there is not full footage of our time in the zoo, but enough to include it in this travel vlog. You will see, Giraffes, Rhinos and Bears to name a few animals in the video. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the tigers and other big cats because of the weather, and who can blame them? The rain became torrential at times, so sheltering in the inside enclosures was the choice for the animals and us.

  1. I visited the Lake District once but it was many, many years ago. I think it might be time for another staycation, the zoo sounds amazing, Flora would love that. Such a shame the weather wasn’t kinder to you but thank you for sharing your lovely trip! Lisa x

    1. Oh, the little one would love the zoo (weather permitting!) This was my first time visiting, but I know it definitely will not be my last to The Lakes!

    1. It’s a lovely place, isn’t it? We never got to go on trips as far as the lakes, so bet it was a great school trip! Yeah, it’s fine with light rain but this was torrential at times!
