Another day another blogger award! The Versatile Blogger award to be in fact.

I was so lucky to be nominated for another blogger award, with The Sunshine Blogger Award being my first. The lovely Peanuts and Cacahuetes was the nominator this time. I just want to say a big thank you for this versatile blogger award nomination. It was a lovely surprise to be nominated!

What is the Versatile Blogger Award?

Now, there are lots of various blogger to blogger awards out there in the blogging community, and the versatile blogger award is one of them. I have seen this floating about on various blogs and social media, but wasn’t 100% sure what it meant. From what I can gather the Versatile blogger award is a blogger to blogger award that applauds and celebrates creative writing and celebrating diverse subjects. Not a bad award to be nominated for eh?

7 Things About Me:

Here are 7 things about me, some you may know, and others that may be a surprise!

1. I love Sewing

I came late to sewing, starting towards the end of my time at university, learning from the best, my auntie! Now, I am not the worlds best sewer and don’t expect to see my creations walking down a catwalk anytime soon, but I am not half bad (if I do say so myself!). I have made lots of different things, but I guess my top achievement was making my own dress for my graduation.
Sewing is something I really want to get back into, as I haven’t done much in quite a while. I would love my own sewing room, I’m sure I would sew more if it was all laid out in one place.

2. I love Travelling to Greece

So, this might not come as a huge surprise if you read my blog regularly. There is something about this country that i absolutely love. It is my happy place. I am sure it would be a very different experience living there rather than visiting on holiday though!

3. My Favourite Colour is Blue

The colour blue has always been one that I loved and the various shades it comes in. I guess this might be kind of linked to number two above, as the Greek flag is a lovely blue. If I ever get married the colour blue will more than likely be featuring at the wedding!

4. Audrey Hepburn is one of my favourites

I love her style, her films, and how she presented herself. A pure icon! She also just seemed like a really nice person who wanted to help others, and this appeared effortless for her.

5. I prefer to graze than have massive meals.

By this I mean having a meze or tapas rather than a massive 3, 4, or 5 course meal. I think you can experience much more food in this way. Don’t get me wrong though a few courses is the only way to go sometimes *cough* Christmas dinner *cough*.

6. I hate the cold

Summer is definitely my favourite season when it is nice and warm (not always the case in the UK). I hate having to wrap up warm, to only be roasting when going inside and having to de-layer.  Snow is fine when I don’t have to go anywhere and can be wrapped up cosy and warm inside watching it fall. 
I guess my dislike for the cold comes from an early age when my fingers and toes would go white and numb when exposed to the cold. This only haappens occasionally now, thankfully.

7. Christmas is my favourite ‘Holiday’

Now, I know I have just written that I hate the cold, but the only exception to this is Christmas. I love everything about Christmas! Yes, I am one of those people who put up their trimmings at the end of November / start of December. I am also one of those people who get excited about the Christmas items making their way into the stores in September. Watching a million and one Christmas films is a must and have the Christmas movie channel in my favourites. I love the family-ness of Christmas and giving to others. The stress of trying to make all my Christmas hamper goodies for my family is also something I bizarrely love. I love the magic of Christmas.
