Looking to get creative, as well as help small businesses? Well, I have 5 must-try Etsy craft kits from UK Etsy small business to share with you today.
Today’s post is a little different to my usual step-by-step tutorials of crafty projects. Instead, I am bringing you an Etsy haul of 5 different craft kits to try out to pique your creative interests. All the craft kits in this post are from small businesses on Etsy UK. This is not a sponsored post, and I have purchased all of these craft kits to try out. In a bid to show you what is out there, as well as to support UK small businesses out there.

What are Craft Kits?
Craft kits are specially designed kits with all items you need for a crafting project. You can get kits for all sorts of crafts, from sewing projects, clay projects, and embroidery projects.
The idea is you get the items needed to complete one project, without the need to source all of the individual items needed, which can get rather costly. A great benefit of this is you can try out lots of different crafts without investing too much money if, in the end, the craft isn’t for you.
I have bought five different Etsy craft kits to try out, so hopefully, this will give you some creative inspiration, as well as showing you what is available out there. So, without further ado, shall we get hauling these craft kits?
Craft Kit 1 – Dried Flower Terrarium
Dried flower Terrarium by House of Moss.
£25 for the kit
£3.75 delivery
Total – £28.75
The kit includes:
- Glass terrarium globe with flat bottom
- Sand in either white or neutral
- Miniature gemstones
- Shells
- Dried flowers and grasses
Terrariums have increased in popularity over recent years, and I have wanted to try one out for a long time. However, I wanted a terrarium with a difference and that is where this fabulous craft kit comes in. Instead of using living plants/succulents, this terrarium uses dried flowers and grasses.
It gives a really unique spin on the terrarium, and the best bit, there is hardly any upkeep for it.
I can’t wait to try this craft kit out. I chose it specifically for the bright colours as I thought it would go perfectly with my décor. House of Moss have many more different varieties of terrarium kits to choose from too, so if you would prefer a ‘traditional’ terrarium there is plenty of choices.

Craft Kit 2 – DIY Mosaic Kit
Lemon Mosaic Kit by Montet Mosaic
£24 for the kit
£4.75 Delivery
Total – £28.75
The Kit includes:
- Plywood base
- Irredescent mosaic tiles in white and yellow
- Seaglass in greenecently saw Hermoine Chan
- PVA glue
- Mosaic grout
- Optional purchase – Tile nibblers
I recently saw a video by Hermione Chantal where she tried out different mosaic crafts and was totally inspired. There are so many mosaic kits out there, but this one really stood out to me. I love anything with a summer fruit kind of vibes, and when I saw this lemon mosaic I knew I had to try it out. Plus the shiny iridescent-ness of the tiles were not to be missed.
To go with this kit, you can purchase tile nibblers to cut down the tiles. The tiles included in this kit are not precut, which means you have control of how you want them cut. I didn’t purchase the nibblers from this seller, but found a tile cutting kit instead, which has a tile cutter and nibbler in the set.
I think this craft kit will be a perfect little project to complete on a not so good weather day to help bring back a bit of sunshine.

Craft Kit 3 – Resin Craft Kit
Beachcomber Resin Kit by Resin8
£39.59
£5.65 delivery
Store discount – £5.95
Total: £37.22
The kit includes:
- X3 wood bases
- Resin and hardener
- Mica colours
- Plastic cups of various sizes and measurements
- Craft sticks
- Protective gloves
- Sand
- Miniature shells
Resin is surging in popularity, isn’t it? I knew I had to give this craft a try, and when I saw this craft kit I was in awe. The product pictures just look stunning and I knew straight away that I had to give this one a go. Slightly more pricey than the other kits, but well worth the price.
The beachcomber kit comes equipped to make three resin pieces. The idea is that you start with the smallest of the wooden blanks and work up to the larger project. In the kit, there is also a picture guide of how to complete the project, with lots of handy tips and tricks. You will need a heat gun for this to create the lovely wave design of the sea.
Whilst the kit gives you instructions, it also provides you with lots of safety precautions as well. This is great, as resin can be quite harmful to you if you are not wearing the right safety equipment.
To go alongside this craft kit, I have also purchased a respirator mask, to ensure that I don’t breathe in any of the toxic fumes. I bought this separately and it isn’t included with the kit.
I cannot wait to give this one ago, although I am quite nervous because resin looks simple when the pros are doing it, it is much harder than it looks!

Craft Kit 4 – Polymer Clay Earrings
DIY Clay Earrings by Katrilee
£19.50 for the kit
£1.80 delivery
Total – £21.30
Kit includes:
- Polymer clay in choice of colours – Neutral, neon or pastel.
- Clay cutters – square, star and hexagon
- Earing backs including; studs, hoops, jump rings and closure
- Sand paper
- Cocktail stick
- Earring cards for finished designs
What can I say about this craft kit? Polymer clay is something that I have wanted to try out since making my own air dry clay coasters. I thought a kit was the perfect way to try this out, and what better way than making some funky earrings?!
This craft kit is the cheapest of the craft kits on this list, but that is by no means the least. You get so much in the kit to make 6 different types of earrings. There are also additional bits that you can purchase as an add on too, so if you want to try out the other polymer clay colours, then you can!

Craft Kit 5 – Weaving Loom Kit
Small Weaving loom craft kit by WoolCouture Company
£25.50
£4.95 delivery
Store Discount – £3.83
Total – £26.62
The kit includes:
- Small weaving loom
- 20m cotton warp thread
- 8 cm weaving needle
- Wooden mounting bar
- Wool/yarn of choice – Ocean
I couldn’t purchase any Etsy craft kits without delving into the weaving loom craft. I have wanted to trial weaving for a while now and actually had plans to make my own DIY loom for it. However, I thought I would try out this craft kit before purchasing any other equipment/wool just in case it was a craft I wasn’t going to keep up with.
Looking at the kit, it appears to have lots of items to make more than one weaving project, which is great. The best bit is, as the previous kit, you can purchase extra add ons to it, so if you wanted to mix a few of the wool colours, all you have to do is purchase another pack of wool. There is plenty of the warp thread for several projects too!
I can’t wait to see how this turns out, and think it goes brilliantly with the colour theme of my décor, as well as the beach theme of the resin kit.

So there are my 5 Etsy craft kits you have to try out from UK Etsy small businesses. I don’t think I can choose a favourite, as I can’t wait to have a go at making them all.
