As I write this I am on the countdown to a few days away with the girls to Madrid. Everything is packed in my hand luggage (I don’t know how I’ve managed it!) and I am ready to go.
This will be my 2nd summer trip of the year, with Mykonos being the first, so I thought I would do a little round up of my summer favourites for 2018 so far.
My Top 5 Summer Favourites for 2018:
1. Marc Jacobs – Daisy ‘Twinkle’
So, I found this beautiful perfume during my duty-free hunt on my recent trip. I always like to treat myself to one or two new scents when I am going away, and where better to find them than in duty-free?
This perfume is gorgeous and has the lovely smell of palm of violets. It really is heavenly and perfect for the summer months. I love finding a sweet and fresh scent for summer, and luckily with this one, it doesn’t fade fast, so you can smell it all day, especially if you spray lightly into your hair so that you get a smell of it when your hair is wafted.
On the box I have it states that it is limited edition, so I may have to stock up on this one when I next visit duty-free!
2. Escada – Sorbetto Rosso
Another perfume on my list, and again one I picked up at duty-free during my Mykonos trip. I always seem to get an Escada scent when I go on my travels, I absolutely love them. Usually, they have a fresh sweet fruity smell, which is what I love, and they are not so overpowering as some scents.
Apparently, this perfume is influenced by the Italian Dolce Vita and has the scent of watermelon with sweet citrus. I bought this one as the main scent is watermelon, and I adore watermelon!
3. Pineapple Passport Cover
No trip is complete without a cute passport cover, and this one certainly fits the bill with that one. It’s also got a pineapple print, and what screams summer more than pineapples? I got this cover from one of my monthly treatboxes (although I haven’t blogged about the one it came from}. Its perfect for identifying your passport when it’s being kept safe with others, although you do have to remove them when going through passport control.
4. Pineapple Print Vase
So, I picked this vase up the other day and was drawn to it because of the pineapple print on it (can you see a theme building here?). I was also drawn to it because it had been reduced to £3! How much of a bargain is that?! I bought this from Asda, but can’t seem to find it on their website to provide a link to it. I am thinking that a nice candle or fairy lights would look lovely in it. You can’t have too many vases right?!
5. Pineapple Ornament
Another pineapple themed item made my list! I am quite obsessed this year with pineapples and found this beauty of an ornament in Matalan. It is advertised as an ornament, but it could be used as a trinket box as the top comes off with it being turned into a container. It could also be used as a mini ice bucket for making cocktails and the likes, although I don’t know how the paint would hold up after getting wet. At the moment I am just using it as an ornament on my box shelves, and it definitely is bringing a summery vibe to my bedroom.
So there are my top 5 summer favourites for 2018! Would any of these make your list?

I also forgot Tuesday 12th May marked the 1 year anniversary of me starting the blog! I can’t believe I have been blogging for over a year, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I just want to say, thank you to everyone who has been following my little piece on the internet, and all that have supported either reading or commenting on my various posts. Let’s see what the next year will bring for Aimsy’s Antics!
