I have another travel vlog for you today. My Staithes travel vlog. Check it out below!
You may remember I took a weekend getaway to the lovely North Yorkshire seaside town of Staithes this time last year (February 2018). Well, I have finally gotten around to putting together the clips I filmed to make my Staithes travel vlog! Check out the blog post link above for a full breakdown of this weekend away.
Staithes:
Before I get into the vlog, I thought I would give a little run down on Staithes itself. Staithes is a North Yorkshire seaside town and is classed as part of the Scarborough district. Formerly a busy fishing harbour, it is now classed as a tourist destination within the North York Moors National Park. It also has links to Captain James Cook, one of Staithes’ most famous residents, way back in 1745!
Full of wonderful cobbled winding streets, with fisherman cottages and beautiful views; it is the perfect getaway to a seaside town.
Staithes is also a perfect base for exploring more of the North Yorkshire coast, with the ‘Cleveland Way’ being a popular walk and ramble for many. This takes you from Staithes to Whitby, via Runswick Bay. A great walk on a lovely clear and bright day; not so much when the wet weather ensues!
Staithes Travel Vlog:
So, the travel vlog itself. I put together a few of the clips I filmed whilst in Staithes; which has made this 5 minute (approx) video. This was only the second trip that I have ever filmed, and I am pretty impressed with how it turned out! Hopefully, it will give you a good look into the village of Staithes; and a little insight into what we got up to. Oh, if you ever get the chance it is a wonderful little town to explore! There are a few steep hills though!

Oh, it is the perfect weekend away type of place. Small enough to explore but still feel like you are seeing lots! Be warned there are a few steep hills though!
Such a pretty town too. I remember first seeing the photo of the village and saying “I need to go there!”

I’ve never heard of Staithes nor have I ever visited anywhere near that area of the world before! Thank you for including the vlog here, it looks so beautiful and YES I definitely would visit! It looks like you could learn so much about their past / culture and do so many things there 🙂
